ちょっと違う子供英会話
The Teacher:
Michelle "Miki" Inosaka
I have lived in Japan since 1993 and have taught for over 25 years. For the past ten years, I have run MEC from my home.
I'm a mother of two, and one dog and hail from the Pacific Northwest.
My hobbies are teaching, climbing, exercising, and playing with our dog.
Hello! 伊之坂ミキです！英文学で大学を卒業して、来日してもう25年以上になります。中学校で2年間教えて、八女市というところで英会話教室を始めて、10年前宇美町に引っ越していて家のガレージで教えています。
趣味は山登り、犬と遊ぶことです。子供2人が高校生の息子と中学生の娘です。

1. Active learning
体を動かしながら勉強スタイル
Kids need to move! Their bodies scream for it. All lessons include movement activities combined with quiet concentration activities including writing, reading, and listening.
子供ってじっとできません！アクティブラーニングというのは体を動かしながら勉強し，それと静かな集中タイムで書く、聞く、読む時間をもうけています。
2. We prepare kids for public speaking
人の前に発表できる子供にします
Through a simple self introduction children learn how to express themselves in front of their peers. Public speaking is a life skill that is incredibly valuable.
日本人は人の前になかなか立つのが苦手なんです。英語で自己紹介を小さい時から発表することによって自信になります。ためになります。
3. Experience ＆ quality instruction
25年以上の経験で子供が興味ある教え方に望んでいます
Children have the ability to hear something and remember it incredibly well—IF it is interesting! Making learning fun and challenging is the key to them remembering.
興味があれば、なんでも覚えることができます！質が高い指導を目指しています！
4. Kids have fun learning
学習は楽しくないと意味がない
If it’s not fun, children will not learn! Incorporating things kids like to do-art, cooking, discovering nature-ensures they don’t get bored.

Message from Miki
ミキの教育についての考え
学校ではたくさん勉強します。机に座って、45分の授業を受けます。体がまだ成長中の子供には不自然なやり方だと思います。MECのレッスン内容は、それぞれの年齢に合った勉強スタイルにしています。子供たちの頭に残るように五感を使って、子供にとって面白いレッスンをやります。つまらないものより絶対に面白いものが記憶に残ります。学校の教室では経験できない勉強が待っています。
